Maternity Photography Frequently Asked Questions

When is the best time to do my maternity session?

I recommend doing your maternity session between 34 and 36 weeks of pregnancy.

Where would my maternity session take place?

Your session would take place in my West-Island studio, outdoors (on the island of Montreal) or in your home if you would like a “lifestyle” feel to your images. I also allow you to split your session between the studio and outdoors if you can’t decide on just one :).

How long in advance do a have to book my maternity session?

I am usually booked two to three months in advance for maternity sessions so ideally a couple of months before to ensure you get your preferred date and time. I really try my best to accommodate last-minute bookings so please contact me if your due date is approaching.

How long would my maternity session take?

Maternity sessions usually take about an hour and a half. You are also welcome to split your session between a studio and outdoor session.

What should I wear for my session?

I have a large selection of maternity gowns, dresses, tutus, bandeaus, and wraps that you can wear during your session. You are also welcome to bring along anything you would like to wear. I recommend that husbands, partners and children wear simple, solid coloured clothing.

Can my family take part in the session?

Yes! Dads and older siblings, and even the pets, are welcome to join in.
